How do I care for my vintage rug?
Taking care of your vintage rug will help to extend its life. We recommend the general care instructions for your rugs,
however specific care instructions differ based on the construction and materials of your rug, and can be found on the product page. You should always defer to these instructions when taking care of your rug.
- Most rugs can be vacuumed.
- Use the lowest setting.
- Avoid pulling out fibers that appear from the top of the rug. Instead, take a scissor and cut them as close to the surface as possible.
- Immediately clean up spills by blotting the area with a white cloth and avoid rubbing, which may push a stain deeper into the rug.
- Rotate your rug regularly to make sure wear and tear is even.
- Do your best to avoid exposing your rugs to continuous and direct sunlight as this will cause the rug’s colors to fade over time.
- If your rug is in need of a deep cleaning, we recommend a professional cleaning service. Always check with your cleaning service to ensure harsh chemicals are not used.
How do I wash my vintage rug?
It is best to clean spills from your rug as soon as they happen in order to avoid any
staining or permanent rug damage. Use a clean, white cloth, and avoid rubbing the
stain so you do not allow it to sink in more deeply. For a deeper clean a professional
cleaning service is your best bet. Keep in mind that specific care instructions differ

Are the size dimensions on vintage rugs accurate?
Measurements may differ slightly due to hand-made nature of Rugser rugs.
Are the colors on the Rugser website accurate?
Yes. The colors of rugs on the Rugser website are accurate, but keep in mind that some variations in colors may occur. In addition, the colors you see can be impacted by different desktop/mobile screen resolutions, so we recommend turning off any settings that may impact brightness. Turn brightness up to see true color of the rug. Additionally, there is always the chance that there will be slight variations in color as each rug is uniquely made with the natural dying process.

What is the average shipping weight of a Rugser Rug?

What is Rugser’s return policy?
Rug weights will vary significantly across sizes and constructions. Some rugs such as flat weave or low-pile rugs will be naturally lighter-weight. Others with thick pile heights will weigh more. You can ask for the exact weight of the rug.
Can you ship internationally?
Rugser ships internationally. We offer worldwide free expedited shipping.
Why are Rugser rugs so much less than the rugs sold in retail stores?
By cutting out middlemen, luxury markups and selling direct to consumers, Rugser is able to sell beautiful, intricate, and carefully designed handmade products at a much lower cost than retailers and all other websites.
Are promotion codes available?
Occasionally Rugser will offer promotional codes that can be applied at checkout. The terms of the promotion will be listed with the promotion code and may not apply for every purchase. Only one promotional code is allowed to be used at a time.
What do I do with my Rugser Rugs if I want to return it?
Within 30 days of when your item is delivered you may return your item for a refund of the purchase price. Items eligible for return must be within the accepted return date of a 30 day window, and in the same condition that it was delivered to you and in the original packaging.
Do you permit exchanges?
Unfortunately, we do not allow direct exchanges for any items purchased via our website. Your original purchase must be returned within the 30 day window. You may place a new order at any time before or after your return has been completed.
Do I need to keep any of the packing materials?
Yes! While we know you will be very excited to rip open your new rug, please be careful when removing the packaging. In the case that you do need to return it, you will want to use the same plastic packaging it arrived in to send it back to us within the 30 day trial period.
Do I pay for shipping?
No. Shipping is free for Rugser worldwide. This includes shipping on returns as well if the return is initiated within 30 days of the receipt of the rug.
Do you price match competitor’s pricing?
If you find the same rug from another online store with a lower price, we will match it, on top of our existing 10% off offer!
